Nick Myers and family

Hey there! I'm Nick Myers, a 37-year-old dad blessed with two wonderful kids—a spirited toddler over 2 and a delightful daughter nearly 4 months old. As you can spot from the picture on the left, my little girl was just a 'work-in-progress' back then, but now she's here making our family complete!

Balancing a full-time job and family life with my amazing wife, who also works full time, means recalibrating our hobbies to fit our new life. That’s where my passion for Japanese Maples comes into play. These magnificent trees require minimal attention yet offer daily beauty, fitting perfectly into my busy schedule.

Reflecting back, it seems Japanese Maples have always been a part of my life. Every home I grew up in had these beautiful trees, thanks to my parents' fondness for them. As I matured, my interest in Japanese culture and bonsai deepened. The arrival of my son, Atticus, sparked my curiosity even further. While helping my wife in the mornings, I started watching bonsai videos, and I was particularly captivated by an expert transforming Japanese Maples into bonsais.

By profession, I'm a software engineer, and I used to be a QA engineer—jobs that engage my analytical and creative sides. Delving into the world of Japanese Maples has become a fulfilling outlet for my creativity. I began experimenting with propagation techniques for Acer Palmatum, which can be quite challenging but immensely rewarding. I plan to explore hydroponic propagation soon and will definitely share those insights here.

This website is a blend of my fascination with AI and my newfound passion for gardening. It’s designed to be a resource that's both informative and transformative, especially for those who are starting their journey with little prior knowledge but a lot of enthusiasm. I'm still far from being a 'master'—as the site’s name might suggest—but I am eager to learn and share. This journey is not just about my growth but about fostering a community where we can all advance together.

I’m excited about developing specialized products for Japanese Maples that will help both you and me advance our skills quickly and effectively.

I invite you to join any of my communities to share your own experiences and grow along with me. Let’s embark on this journey of discovery and mastery together in the world of Japanese Maples!
